You've made a great decision in taking your first step in making a real difference to children and young people in your community.
This page will help you with the application form process, please read before you start.
1. Before you begin
The form will take less than 30 minutes.
There are several sections asking you to provide:
- Contact details
- Your own community knowledge
- Your own experience
- About you
- Your availability
- Information on:
- Any conflicts of interest
- Safeguarding and PVG
- References
You may prefer a desktop screen rather than a mobile device to complete the form.
Please note that you can save the application at any stage and if you have any questions, you can email chsrecruit@chs.gov.scot
2. Apply Now
Once you click apply now, you will be taken to the application form which is hosted on a secure online platform.
Top Tips:
- Make a cup of tea and find a quiet place to complete the form.
- You need to complete every required field before you can move to the next page or save.
- If you decide to save and come back later to complete, click 'save' at the bottom of the screen. If you click this option, you will see a 'pop-up' which says 'Sign up to save submission as a draft', at the bottom of the box there is a link 'Skip Create an Account', click on this and enter your email address. You will then be emailed a link so you can resume your application at any time (before 24 February).
- The form will ask you about your availability for training. You can find the dates on the How we train volunteers page.
Once you complete the form, click submit.
3. What happens next
After you click submit you will receive a confirmation that the application has been sent. Over the next couple of days you will receive an email from 'PowerApp' to say that you application has been downloaded and submitted to the recruitment team.
