New Quality Strategy will help drive continuous improvement
At Children’s Hearings Scotland we are proud to publish our new Quality Strategy, which sets out our commitment to quality over 2024-2027.
Quality underpins and connects all that we do, regardless of our role at CHS, to help deliver high quality hearings for infants, children and young people. With more than 2,000 volunteers across Scotland with many years’ experience of delivering Scotland’s largest tribunal, we have a unique and valuable foundation. This strategy is a building block to further harness our collective efforts, knowledge, skills and experience to deliver the best possible decisions for the children, families and carers that we serve.

'Cornerstone' of system
This strategy sets out our approach and the role everyone can play. Along with an implementation plan it will help steer a series of focused activities, ensuring that we build our processes to effectively share good practice, identify when things are not going well and drive improvement where needed.
Across Children’s Hearings Scotland, our National Team and volunteer Community hold quality as a shared purpose and ambition. The new Quality Strategy aligns with our organisational objective, as stated in our Strategic Outlook, that ‘Quality will be the cornerstone of our hearings system’.
