Our plan for 2023-24

Children’s Hearings Scotland has published its Business and Corporate Parenting Plan 2023-24. And we’re grateful to Aimee, who has lived experience of the hearings system, for sharing her highlights of the plan in the accompanying short video.

For the year 2023-24, CHS will continue to work to its four strategic priorities: to better protect and uphold the rights of children; to deliver consistently high-quality hearings; to continue to build an effective and empathetic panel that is well supported; and to be well informed and influential in its environment and communities.

Among the Plan’s commitments for 2023-24 is to continue to build CHS’s Participation Hub, through which people with lived experience help improve the hearings system, for example through being involved in the recruitment of Panel Members and helping to redesign processes.
